New research out of the UK on the top ‘HR skills for survival’ in turbulent economic times emphasises the importance of  strategic thinking and business knowledge;

In a new mini poll the Chartered Institute of People Management asked  HR professionals to choose three competencies they believed were most important to establishing the function’s effectiveness and credibility in the organisation, 46% of those taking part in their website mini poll highlighted ‘effective management of change’,  and this was closely followed by ‘strategic thinking’ (44%) and ‘business knowledge’ (36%)
