Standard Integrated People Practices (SIPP™) PDF Print E-mail

The new standard for getting the foundations for Human Capital in place. Through it, Human Capital becomes a strategic tool in the hands of line management.

Outline

People Practices in business are sets of rules that articulate the need of a business to manage people and productivity to the maximum benefit of the business within the context of what motivates people to do their best.

 These people practices should be designed to function in an integrative manner to:

  •  Enable management decision making;
  •  Enable value added functions like talent management and succession planning;
  •  Support and influence business strategy;
  • Drive a healthy, engaged workforce;
  •  Assist in integrated process delivery;
  •  Assist in information integration;
  •  Be perceived as fair and just.

This enables Human Capital as a profession and a true business partner. In this 2 day course delegates will look at Standard Integrated People Practices (SIPPTM) and how their articulation and embedded compliance issues will drive compliance and ensure business support for the basic disciplines that need to exist if the true value of people and a Human Capital capability is to be fully realised. SIPPTM consists of a group of statements that set out and defines standards for Human Capital practices which have to be established in order for them to contribute to the business operations in a practical way, ultimately supporting the ability to deliver on organisational strategy and business plans.

Outcomes

At the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  •  Explain the contributing role played by an effective and integrated Human Capital (HC) capability in business, operational and strategic decision-making:
  •  Explain how Standard Integrated People Practices (SIPP™) enable an effective Human Capital capability:
  •  Describe the impact of an effective Human Capital (HC) capability on the delivery of business strategy, efficiency and profitability:
