empowering Human Capital practitioners with integral knowledge and

frameworks for successful organisational design.

Outline

Non-OD&D specialists often struggle to understand how the practice of Organisational Development and more specifically Organisational Design integrates firstly with business strategy and secondly with Strategic Human Capital Service delivery models. One of the key contributors to Organisational Design intervention failure is a lack of understanding and knowledge of the Organisational Design process, as well as the level of integration between the ODS intervention with business and SHCM.

Outcomes

At the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  •  Describe Organisational Design (ODS) and Organisational Development (ODV), including the ODS value-add and its drivers in business
  •  Describe an integrated view of ODS and its relationship with integrated Human Resource Management
  •  Explain the change process and how ODS fits into this
  •  Discuss the following ODV and ODS theories and their practical implications and apply theories in context:

Systems Theory

Stratified Systems Theory

Work Complexity

  •  Explain the ODS process and its various design stages and methodologies
  •  Identify competencies required by an OD practitioner and discuss how these competencies feature in business practice
  • Practically apply OD holistically
